During the first visit of Mark Zuckerberg to Sub-Saharan Africa, Facebook CEO, first stopped at Nigeria where he visited the local innovation center and tech hub in Yaba, an area on the mainland of Lagos known as Nigeria’s Silicon Valley.

“I’ll be meeting with developers and entrepreneurs, and learning about the startup ecosystem in Nigeria. The energy here is amazing and I’m excited to learn as much as I can” declared facebook CEO.

At the CcHUB, he talked to children at a summer coding camp and entrepreneurs who visit the center to build and launch their apps.

 

Zuckerberg thrilled Nigerians by walking around the streets of Lagos without any signs of armed guards or heavy security. He was also spotted jogging on the Lekki Bridge Wednesday morning.crmar59xgae8xu8

Meanwhile in his next stop in Kenya, Mark Zuckerberg visited the iHub, Nairobi’s technology center that provides programmers, developers, and other technology workers a space to innovate. Here programmers can build prototypes of their ideas. Explain Zuckerberg.

Here he met two engineers Fausto and Mark, who designed a system to help people use mobile payments to buy small amounts of cooking gas, which is a lot safer and better for the environment than charcoal or Kerosene.

During a reception session offered by the Kenyan’s cabinet secretary in charge of information and communication, Mark Zuckerberg, further set the media abuzz by Eating with bare hands.
