  • OVERVIEW

Among all car races, Paris-Dakar is one of the most famous. Since 1978, this car race has gathered a lot of drivers and even more fans. Originally going from Paris to Dakar, the race path changed in 2009 and is now located in South America. Other championships are held throughout the world, such as the FIA World Cup, with races in Russia, Qatar, Italy, Poland… As these events are gathering more and more people, technical requirements increase: races need to be broadcasted and organizers need to be equipped to ensure the good progress of the race. For all these reasons, AFRIKANET is able to bring a reliable solution to participants in need of Internet services.

  • CHALLENGE

AFRIKANET was asked to provide a good quality service while taking into accounts many variables. Among these variables, the most important one is the high number of places to cover. Indeed, car races organizers need to benefit from services in South America, Middle-East or Europe for a short period of time: often less than 10 days. Furnishing a roaming service is a challenge that AFRIKANET is ready to face.

 

  • SOLUTION

We now propose a solution for car races by connecting our customers to different satellites, the coverage is thus sufficient enough to answer positively to this challenge. We are able to provide reliable Internet services for Occasional Use, wherever our customers are located in the world. All along the race, our customers will benefit from a good bandwidth allowing them to broadcast videos or pictures of the race and to enable a better organization of the event. Parmi toutes les courses de voiture, la course Paris-Dakar est certainement l’une des plus reconnues. Depuis 1978, cette course de voiture a su réunir de nombreux conducteurs et encore plus de supporters. Partant à l’origine de Paris pour rejoindre Dakar, le parcours de la course a changé en 2009 et a dorénavant lieu en Amérique du Sud. D’autres championnats se déroulent un peu partout dans le monde, comme la Coupe du Monde FIA, avec des courses en Russie, au Qatar, en Italie, en Pologne… Tous ces évènements attirent de plus en plus de monde et les besoins techniques s’en voient décuplés : les courses et rallyes nécessitent d’être retransmis et les organisateurs ont besoin d’être correctement équipés afin d’assurer le bon déroulement de l’évènement. Pour toutes ces raisons, AFRIKANET est disposer à fournir une solution fiable à ceux qui le demandaient.
